Basically what the title says. The kid is getting a bit older and I remember it used to be a rite of passage getting your first BMX but noboby seems to sell anthing but cheap Chinese rubbish or mountain bikes. It needs to be one of the veryt small starter bikes with the training wheels.

Does anyone know where I can get one?

Mongoose are pretty good for kids.

If you want something decent bmxdirect.co.za

Or you could check out theriot.co.za... If you have the cash to spend, you can't go wrong with a FIT bike, ooorr sunday.. But.. They are quite pricey. I always wanted a sunday frame... Aaaahhh. But 3000 grand plus Just for a frame.. Naaaaahhh.. Haha..

Brands I remember from back in the day are mongoose, diamondback, redline, purdy(?).

I had a taiwanese Cincoa for may years and loved that bike until I sold it in std.8
