Mandela is a Biblical Salomo, a wise man! You will have to go far to get his equal in any African leader now and in the future! they are not good enough to even wash his feet, He should be cloned for a memorial, a statue is no good, cold and dead! I will be on his funeral when it happens if I can get there, for sure!
Everyone to his own. I repect your view, just I have seen so little of Mbeki, what have he done for me? He travels a lot and allow Ivy to ruin the system, Zuma to damage aids campaigns, Others like recent ministers to flame the country with remarks that created the flame wars on this exact web site. Maybe he is so much a Technocrat he does not know how to control his subordinates?JStrike said:I respect and admire Mbeki far more than Mandela. Mandela was just a preople's person. He was a rubish president, who happened to have good advisors (One of which was Mbeki). His understanding of economics was appaling, no better than University first year. This I find unnaceptable in a President.
Mbeki is one of the best Presidents the world has ever seen (IMHO) behind Churchill and arguably Smuts (And I would throw in Nixon as well, but I can just imagine the response)
