The 2 cops killed 3rd injured were hacked with machetes :wtf:
Yup ... seems the unions are doing their utmost to protect the rights of their workers hey ?
Nine people including two policemen have been killed in clashes between labour unions at a mine operated by world no 3 platinum producer Lonmin , by far the deadliest spate of violence in a turf war rocking the sector.
The clashes involve a struggle for membership between the dominant National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) and the upstart Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (AMCU).

At least three people were killed in a similar round of violence in January that led to a six-week closure of the world's largest platinum mine, run by Impala Platinum.

The whole platinum sector is grappling with declining world prices for the precious metal and a surge in union militancy in South Africa, home to 80 percent of known reserves.

Aquarius Platinum briefly shut one of its shafts this month after an attack by unidentified assailants that left three dead and at least 20 injured.

The latest bout of blood-letting is the worst yet.

Two security guards were hacked to death on Sunday, while the NUM said one of its members was killed while trying to report for duty. Lonmin said a fourth employee had been found dead with several gunshot wounds.
Linky

Line up both the unions' top brass and shoot them. There is no excuse inciting your members going around killing eachother based on membership status.

Can someone please tell me why common sense is so scarce in this country? I mean if you going to protest over bad education, DON'T BURN DOWN THE SCHOOL WHILE YOU DO IT. If you going to protest over bad service delivery, DON'T DESTROY THE CITY'S INFRASTRUCTURE WHILE YOU DO IT. If you going to protest over who can protest the best DON'T KILL EACH OTHER WHILE YOU DO IT.

badger.to them killing and destroying means nothing.its a everyday of life thing.I am not going to post any racist remarks.just want to know.
On the news they said that a R5 assult rifle was used to gun down the police.Where the frac did they get if from...I ALSO WANT!

What really bugs me is that union bosses are very quick to jump up and down and demand that mine management be charged with the deaths of miners underground but are quite happy to sit back and have their members hack eachother to death with pangas over a monopoly on union fees
Fsking bunch of useless oxygen thieves

This morning the NUM's Lesiba Seshoka blamed the violence and killings on a third force.

Your disclaimer doesn't mean ****! You cannot call people animals just because they lack a formal class education:mad:

These "animals" acted like animals when they killed, ........no slaughtered, their fellow human beings with "Long" knifes. What would you call them?

All I say is:

Just Viva Africa, where barbarism rules easilly when their is an dispute!

Does it count as hate speech? Or discrimination? Are we now protected by law to not be discriminated against because of education levels?

Even educated people get called animals if that is how they behave.

What would you suggest we call someone who hacks another person to pieces with a panga? Civilized? Human?
