Article: Crime out of control: FF Plus

The murder of a farmer in Hartbeesfontein, North West, was proof that the government had lost control of crime, FF Plus leader Pieter Groenewald said on Tuesday.

"The unwillingness and laxity of government is proven in that it is unwilling to declare farm murders a priority crime as the Freedom Front Plus has been asking for a very long time," he said in a statement.
 
Pretty sure that this single murder isn't proof that crime is out of control. The thousands of murders, rape victims, hijackings etc. on the other hand...

Oh and FF+ should stop pushing their 'farm murder priority' nonsense out there. It doesn't help the farmers at all because the majority of murder victims (which aren't farm related) and their families aren't going to go supporting a cause that totally ignores the larger problem to focus on a small groups need. They should rather push an all encompassing anti-crime campaign instead of isolating farmers from support by trying to make their suffering a 'higher priority' to others.

But the stats published say there is a marked improvement..............

Yeah right, they will never admit to it but it is a "challenge" and with the incompetency of the government it will never be in lign with the countries we would like to compare ourselves with.

I hope you are being sarcastic, because if you really do believe those stats, then that tells us a lot more about you than it does about the ones publishing the crazy stats! :D
