E-toll battle is not between state and public

Er. Which public is this moron talking about? Because last time I looked, OUTA was part of the general public, and funded by same...

"At the end of the day we can't just print money."

And neither can the public!

“At the end of the day, we can’t just print money. A budget has to be found somewhere.”

How about finding that budget in tender fraud and the R20b no one can account for. T W A T

We have to keep the minister to his promise of transparancy.

Top of the list is why was such an ridiculously expensive system chosen? There was obviously little consideration for the public's pocket. Spending so much on something of so little value which had much cheaper alternatives show they may not be fighting the public as much as stealing from them.

To me it's the public fighting the state anyway, sad that you have to take your own 'democratically elected' government to court for them to stop wasting the public's money.

The problem is this moron has an outlet to print his garbage, i.e. the media. And as it is in black and white, people tend to believe it. If the comments here on MYBB could be printed in the media as easily, then the state will have a much more difficult time getting away with this

I wish i could punch Utteral, Gauntlet, their families, and the minister of transport

Oh add to that everyone who has/is going to buy a e-fag

Denial much goverment? What the fck did goverment think would happen? People just take it up the rear.. while all our tax money is spend on BWM's for goverment people...

What about tax on fuel? What happens to that money? Every year we hear SARS say they have new record amount of tax money... use some of that.

"At the end of the day, we can’t just print money. A budget has to be found somewhere."

In the rest of the world and in SA private sector, you first find the budget before spending. ANC first spend and then "worry" about the budget. Our children are doomed to a life of debt repayment.

"Martins said the reality was that the toll gantries were in existence."

Yes, and my Pee-pee is also in existence, it does NOT mean I HAVE to stick it in every A-hole that walks by JUST because it was designed and built for it(amongst other things)

It’s not as if the people are on one side and government is on the other side

I don't know which is worse - if the really believes that or if he thinks that by saying it, it wil become true.

Maybe the key lies in the fact that it is a New Age Breakfast - all in the family

Dear minister

If the government doesn't have R6 billion WASTEFUL expenditure a year, you won't have the problem.
