Reliable International (or local) email hosting

Can anyone recomend a very low cost hosting provider for email only? I would go with anyone except I need them to be reputable and reliable.

A bit late for a reply I know. I do not currently have an email package set up and do not offer one, but if there is interest in such a package, let me know and I'll be happy to work something out. My link is in my sig, go check it out and tell me if you still interested. I would be able to set up an account with similar costs to the packages on the site and also of course similar transfer and disk space. PM me if you or anyone else is interested.
 
A cheap method for you is to buy a domain (~R70-R100 a year) and then forward to a place such as Gmail. IMO this is a very reliable way and very easy to setup
 
I've had good experiences with Hetzner - not super cheap, but generally cool. Otherwise, get yourself in the "Hosted gmail" beta - if you qualify, you then get your email hosted with gmail, but @yourdomain.co.za - pretty cool.

I signed up for google "hosted" services and got a reply with about 5 hours to say that I have been "invited" to participate in the beta testing, everything seems fine in the cpanel although I can only have 25 accounts for the beta test (more than enough for me). I'm just waiting for a response from my domain registrar to change my MX Records to work with gmail. I think this is a great service as it has a feature called "catch-all" which will accept emails from address that doesn't exist on the domain, for example if someone emails [email protected] instead of info it will automatically be routed to one of the valid address.

Do they only allow one domain per account?

Yes I suppose so, when signing up the ask you for the domain, how many users, what it will be used for etc. Try signing up with different gmail accounts (use one address per domain, if you don't have a gmail account, just pm me your current email address and I'll send a gmail invation. Google doesn't gaurentee that they will accept you. Just try, you never know.

I'm already using gmail - I was just wondering if I could manage all my domains with one gmail hosted account ...
 
you need the gmail address to sign up for the google hosted service, but I think it's only one domain per address, so you can only manage one domain per account, you could contact google to find out. I check the "hosted" FAQ but it doesn't say anything about host multiple mail domains. There is no option in the cpanel to add another domain
 
I've got 7 fully serviced domains (with room for more) all under one powweb account for $8 per month - I dont think thats too pricey.

Just checked - says unlimited mailboxes. You only get "20,000 mb" storage for the account but you can allocate that as you see fit between hosting and email. It suits my needs.

I've got gmail accounts too - they're great - even have an invite to their email service somewhere. It's just that I like having a place to park my domains along with some webspace. :) $8 per month isnt much for that.
