Julian Assange suffers inside Embassy in London

He is between a rock and a hard place. It was partly his own doing. I feel that a compromise will be reached to let him go to the airport
 
I still can't rap my head around how Ecuador can't just put him in a diplomatic convoy, then go to the airport and put him in a diplomatic plane and fly his ass to Ecuador.

Does that apply to a person out on bail, staying at a fixed address and under travel restrictions? And with that tag/tracker attached to his leg.

If he makes it out of the UK to Ecuador he will be stuck there for the rest of his life, unable to travel outside the country and looking over his shoulder all the time.

Successive American administrations since WW2 have become increasingly amoral and even in Ecuador he will not be safe because because the US has the ability to send in a team to kill or kidnap him and will not hesitate to do so.

This would be why they can't put him in a diplomatic envoy, the vehicles are not on Ecuadorian "land" :

Over and above that, once the envoy gets to the airport, he has to step onto British soil to get onto the plane, whereupon he will be arrested

Or put him in a large diplomatic bag and then into the boot of one of the diplomatic vehicles.

Coincidentally that's a common method of people abusing diplomatic immunity - smuggling items on that basis.
 
Maybe he can pop next door to Harrods. They have fully equipped flats on the top floor for senior staff, but are very seldom used.

The Foreign Secretary, William Hague was being a hard case on TV about this, but there is a lot of sympathy for JA to let him have his freedom. However, there is an active extradition warrant in place and it is difficult for the Met Police to have a "blind moment" and let him go.
 
Why should they let him go? Legally he should be extradited and Sweden is hardly going to torture him.

No. Sweden is hardly going to torture him but they will pass him over to the US who will have no such scruples.
Sweden has always looked after its own interests to the exclusion of all else.

So Sweden will extradite him but the UK won't? And if this is all a grand conspiracy then why did the Swedes let him leave the country?
 
Awww Shame, the poor boy is suffering. Surely he counted the odds before he got into this line of business?
"Oh No, I released hundreds of thousands of diplomatic cables and secret files that paint many countries in a bad light, and now I'm being treated badly!!!" WTF did he think would happen? :confused:

It is no coincidence that I mentioned it as a possible escape method, I expect that many embassies around the world have used "diplomatic body bags" for disposal on foreign soil, the South American drug cartel ridden countries and their embassies abroad should be quite familiar with such methods.

The embassy could always do several test runs using its own bagged people and plane on standby (to confuse the police waiting outside) and then recycle their people back into the embassy and when it seems likely to succeed with the police complacent they bag JA and continue the ruse to make it appear as if he is still under "embassy house arrest".
 
I do not think the US government wants to kill or even torture the man. If they wanted him dead, he would have been a long time ago. I think they just want to put him in front of a court and send him to jail if that is the outcome.

As far as I understand, you don't need a passport or to even be a citizen of the state who's embassy you receive asylum from. Its a complicated system which isn't fool-proof as there are in some instances legal means where the asylum seeker will be left unprotected. For example, the diplomats in the host country can be expelled and the embassy closed, this would leave any asylum seeker fair game to authorities. I doubt this will happen as it will be a major embarassment to the host state and bring more trouble for the UK than its worth.

Hopefully he has many years of isolation and exile to reflect on the real harm he's done to people whose lives are seriously endangered by his reckless publications. The guy is a real dick-head.
