I mean honestly, does this not highlight the type of individuals the cops had to deal with? Words, I have none.



The surviving mineworkers claimed that the medicine man who was alleged to have told them his muti would make them invincible had warned them not to kill the rabbit, the Saturday Star reported.

"The traditional healer warned all of us several times on the day not to kill the rabbit but some among us decided to chase it around the hill and killed it," mineworker Khabo Khabo told the newspaper.

"I still honestly believe that if it wasn't for the healer far more lives would have been lost on the day. If we had let the rabbit free all of the dead would still be alive," Khabo said.

/ wonders how they live in the 21 century if they still believe that sort of stuff.

That would have been a problem, the miners seem to have an issue following simple instructions, and the holy grail had relatively complicated instructions

So, there seems to be some confusion on their part as to why the same people that didn't listen to the sangoma, and ate the rabbit, then went on to stampede the men with the large guns...

I don't think it's possible to apply logic to this.

50 million people living in a 3rd world country with a huge lack of education = huge potential of credulity.
 
People who believe this crap are a waste of oxygen. They'd be far more useful as fertilizer/worm food like their fallen comrades.

And who would work the mines? Us "smarter" people who are way too comfortable in our air conditioned offices working for close 10x their pay?

The people who take advantage of these more feeble-minded people are the true *******s and waste of oxygen.
 
People, pleeease respect the believes of others! Why did they kill the rabbit when the Sangoma clearly and repeatedly, instructed them not to? And then, against the Sangoma's advice, they proceeded with the attack on the police knowing well the rabbit is dead?

Not all miners believe this crap. There are by far enough unemployed people with more brain cells out there who deserve some extra oxygen.

Sad thing is, many of the people laughing at this in the comments and elsewhere are religious folk.
