Samsung claims the patent war is not over

Scary though, shows where the jury system may meet it's limit. I just hope they don't completely stamp out competition from android
 
I just get the feeling this has all gone according to plan. It feels to me like Samsung meant to loose this one (take one for the team) in order to open the door for its partners to use the same verdict against apple. Samsung by no means lost this round as the guilty verdicst were against devices that are no longer being produced. I think the stratagy now will be for Google and Motorola to step in and get Apple found guilty of infringing its patents by proxy of this case. This could end up geting all the new apple products banned for using the notification system etc... 1 billion seems like pocket change if this is indeed the plan.

One wonders what would happen if tech companies around the world simply stopped supplying Apple.

Only problem is that won't happen. In business, money talks so there will always be somebody that's willing to sell to Apple.
