Another tough game for one of our beloved African teams...

I think Ivory Coast should've levelled it 2-2 but it was a tight game though. Ivory Coast were in Holland's half attacking for most of the last 15 minutes or so. Van Persie's free kick was good..

Dissapointing result for the Ivory Coast, they deserved better than this in this competition, Eboue was blatantly bundled down in the panalty area but nothing from the refferee, that's one of the stumbling blocks African teams have to deal with at all world cups.

However the Ivorians and other African teams must learn to take their chances and not to give too much respect to big name teams.

Indeed, Ivory Coast looked really good at times. Two losses is not a fair reflection of their performances either.

Just a pity they ended up in this killer group...
