DA fires councillors for not "tithing" to the party

"Sure, you can say I should get another job but I'm a middle-aged white man, where do I get a job? I'm a career politician. I've been a politician for 12 years and I've got another 12 years ahead of me. What this thing (decision) effectively does, it just wipes my career out," said Brümmer, adding that he had no other "fall back" on his monthly salary of R36000.

Shame, 36k for for being a politician...do what every politician does when booted...join another party and continue to BS the public.

Why doesn't the party just automatically deduct the tithies from the salary?

It's not like it's a total surprise that those fees are due - so why not just pay them from the start?

This all goes into party coffers and is used to further the party so it's less "Oh woe is me, I'm a middle aged white man with no money" and more like someone suddenly going "Tax? I had to pay tax? That can't be right!" when SARS show up to take away your car.
