Can anyone find anything about it on the net? My searches seem to bring other strange answers about old robberies everywhere but there.

I live not far from there. I drove past there around 6PM(all seemed normal then) and when I returned past there around 8:30PM there were cop cars and ambulances everywhere. Being night time the flashing blue and red lights make the area look like a huge disco.

There were sadly quite a few ambulances. I hope that the injured were the bad guys and not others....

It seems that the christmas cash hording has started early as there has also been a big robbery in Fourways recently and also in KZN, from what I have heard.
 
Seems a Warrant Officer from the Flying Squad was shot and injured during the shoot-out. Hope he/she recovers. :(
 
I know the Fourways robbery was at the iStore, they caught one of the bastards after they drove into the back of a taxi, what happened in KZN, any more news on the PnP? I hope they hand the bastards over to the W/O and let him/her take them around the corner and have a little accident ;)
 
Caught the last bit of it on the news....

Seems like 5 caught and one was shot dead. Sadly that leaves 8 to repeat their offence again, unless they are caught first...

I was originally thinking of going out later and going there first. I am glad I did not.

I am sad for those people that were there, be they shoppers or staff.
/glad the Police were there pretty quick
 
I wonder how many of these cops hesitated before they fired back.

Waiting for someone to ask why they didn't use rubber bullets....

That store is normally very busy after 4PM and worse after 6:30PM.... Sometimes you need to wait for parking.

It is not a big store, so I guess they figured it will be easy to control "the crowd".

If they'd taken 10 of them out, would it have been considered a massacre as well? Would Julius be there defending their right to commit crime? Would he be spurring them on to continue? I see no difference between this and the Marikana miners incident...

That is hectic,hope the cop survives and that they catch the others.
