I really cant see the US getting anything out of this one either. Their womens team is still better than their men's side ;)
 
Wow, whatta 1st half, this is why we wait patiently for four years to see the World Cup. Italy 1- USA 1, a red card for each team and an own goal. The referee has been excellent.

After the US red card I thought the ref was a nutter but after seeing the replay he was spot on. Nasty foul from De Rossi for the first red card of the game :eek: . Spirited performance from Bush's Bosys, can't wait for the second half

I'm not sure who the commentator was for this game but he is the footballing equivalent of murray walker. Non stop crap coming out of his mouth.

The game was pretty good aswell. The US looked good especially Donovan. Italy were pants though. Other than Nesta, Canavaro and Pirlo the rest were terrible. Open group though. Nice to see.

What a game!

The 3rd red card seemed maybe it bit harsh- but i was a second yellow so i guess it was ok...

Otherwise,r eally good game. Keller had a great game in goal for the yanks, and it leaves the group nicely poised for the final round of games .
 
The Italians were very poor. USA played well.
 
Yeah USA pushed more, Italy didn't seem themselves in this match. I agree Donovan had a great match. But 3 red cards is ridiculous, that Uruguay ref went crazy with the cards...the elbow from Italy really deserverd the red though.
 
Yeah, he deserves more than a 1-match ban. That was ugly.
 
I have no qualms about the first 2 red card, the third one however is debatable.
