The competition says give us your reason why you want to switch to the Lumia 920 so, yeah, your reason for switching to the 920 from the 800 would be good enough to win - IMO.

There is definately none yet because I think that they will only release the phones after the Win8 launch. I think it would be ridiculous to give out release dates now because they know that they are so far.

Release date will proly be around mid-November, just in time for people's pay cheques at the end of the month and just before Christmas.
 
I am not surprised. Competition results often indicate where a company's focus is i.e. which market/s is/are given the highest priority.
