any idea what the data management abilty is on WP8? can apps be stopped from accessing data, like on Android?

Yes, it's called Data Sense, which is a built-in app that lets users monitor their data usage on Windows Phone 8.

The last time I was this excited for a phone was when I got my Android Tablet. All I can see is yellow yellow yellow. I can't wait for this phone to be released.

This phone brings true innovation, and I can't wait to have my own Lumia 920 charging on its Fatboy pillow.

It does!

Was one of the reasons I did not really consider Windows Phone 7.

I was sold already. The bonus is we building apps for it, one that already won 2 competitions internationally and going live with Windows & Phone 8

Yup..

I'm also a huge fandroid and I do believe that this could be the best phone of 2012 (That's if it's released in 2012)

If however, this phone is released next year, there will be better Android phones in 2013.

imho..


Edit: just got word that Vodacom is planning a promotion for the phone around December so maybe it will be here in time for Christmas.

Yeah. Will prob be upgrading in Jan so will be closely following this thread. I love how android and google integrates so if this is similar in that respect then I'll seriously consider it.
