I dont see this being a classic myself. Switzerland have looked suprisingly good and Ukraine suprisingly poor.

I reckon a narrow win for the Swiss.

What a crap 1st half. Apart from the 2 chances that hit the crossbar for both sides theres nothing much to talk about.
 
Indeed. looked like they were both playing for penalties already, which is crazy.

And whats with the ref?? Did they use up all the cards in last night's game?? He hasnt booked anyone yet, and there have been some bad tackles :eek:
 
Is soccer getting a boring a recent thing? Or has it always been like this?
 
There was one card i think. Its probably the most boring match ive ever watched. And yeah i think when we get up tomorrow morning they'll still be taking penalties.

3-0 to Ukraine on penalties . :p

IMO one of the worst teams in the whole tournament are in the last 8 at the expense of a team that did not concede a single goal!! :(

& at the expense of a number of far superior teams - czech republic, holland...luck of the draw

watched about 5 minutes - all i could stomach of the aimless kicking, inability to string passes together, total lack of confidence on the ball and ultra-defensive tactics

I agree. Can anyone think of a worse game of professional football they have witnessed?? I have been watching a lot of footy since 1993 and i am struggling...
