Depends on you platform. For PC I'd recommend anything by Codemasters (realistic but sometimes painfully difficult). For PS2, definitely the Gran Turismo series (also very realistic but repetitive).
Remember to get a descent steering wheel with force feedback (not the cheapass rumble type). Since Microsoft canned their Sidewinder Joystick range, Logitec is you best alternative.

If your aim is competitive on-line racing, I suggest you mosey over to the South African Racing League (S.A.R.L.), and see what they use. Currently:
- Live for Speed (not to be confused with Need for Speed)
- GTR
- GT Legends
- NASCAR Racing 2003 Season
- rFactor

sorry for the late reply,been away the whole afternoon.
Well,I only play game on PC,coz I don't have a PS2 or whatever.
And I just use my keyborad to play racing games,because I am not gaming enthusiast.

Tried Juiced, it's sort of an Underground clone. The graphics are awesome but the game is really crap. Handling of the cars is absolutely ridiculous.
Outrun2006 also just released, while not realistic it's still a good game. Just got it, more of an arcade game like the old Outruns and Daytona USA. It's something a little different where a realistic physics engine isn't the be all and end all and where fun matters more.

Since you're limited to keyboard, I'd say forget about sybawoods list then, until you have a wheel available. In other words, forget the sims, looks for the arcade ones. Get a gamepad, they're cheap and makes racing a bit more fun.Inertia, what's your TMN nick ?

I'm not a fan of the new Need For Speed Games - I loved Hot Pursiut (on PS2) but Most Wanted has too much story and other junk.
