I have recently moved to London and have a supposed 8Mb connection, which is supposed to run at 5.5Mb but in reality is more than likely about 3.3Mb. Now the reason for all these different speeds, it depends on which speed test you would like to believe. Anyway that's beside the point. When I lived in JBG, I had a 384kb connection. I have now moved to London and upgraded to 8Mb.
But, today I ran a speedtest to Saix's "Bandwidth meter". The result, 384Kb's.
Which just goes to show, the long arm of Telkom, stretches a lot further than you think.
