Italy did not look great against the Aussies and even they admit they were really lucky to go through the way they did, but they are still a good side and tough to break down, even, or perhaps especially when down to 10 men.

Ukraine on the other hand, started the tournament with a 4-0 loss to Spain and this is a pretty good reflection of how good they have been. They are this far only thanks to a really poor group and the fact that Switzerland couldnt score after 120 minutes of footy and 3 penalties in "The Most Boring Game Ever".

My money is on Italy. I dont think Ukraine stand any chance to be honest.

My passion will be with the Ukraine, slim as their chance maybe!

Italy did not deserve to beat Australia and thus certainly do not deserve to be in the semi-finals.

Maybe this is the match where their luck will run out.
 
As much as i hate Italy, the way they play and the way they got where they did, at least on their day, they are a good team. Ukraine on the other hand ..:p
 
Italy definitely didn't deserve the win against Aus but luck is part of the game..apart from Shevchenko I don't think Ukraine has any stars. Italy on the other hand have a good squad but we all saw what happened to them against Aus...I'm supporting the Azzurri though.
 
Ukranians lost hope after the second goal...there finishing is just about as good as Ghana :) The first half seemed more like an exhibition match. As debutants in the World Cup Ukraine should be proud of reaching the last 8.

They should count themselves lucky more like. Played some of the worst football in the tournament. Just wish that the draw could have seen someone like Holland or Ghana through in their place. They really were awful.
