MTN adds $65m muscle to staging of 2010 World Cup

Investing into too many things at the same time. Theyre gonna struggle to manage all of these things financially..

Hopefully this doesnt affect their dividend policy :(

How much spend is that per subscriber per month?

Poor subscribers who have to foot the bill!

doesnt work anything like that... its the money they get from releasing bonds and shares on the market.... The customers will not be affected

34 cents per month.

For argument's sake let's say this is charged as a premium to subscribers. (Existing marketing budgets are not touched, nor corporate relations, nor exisitng sponsorships).

65 million US$ = 463 million ZAR. The sponsorship is by MTN Group which currently has 23 million subs (28 million by 2007 when Investcom deal is finalised).

That leaves you with R 16.53 per subscriber.

The sponsorship is paid out over 4 years.

R4.13 per subscriber.

Monthly = 34 cents.

Cater for inflation over 4 years and subscriber growth...

15 to 20 cents per subscriber per month.
