It's an eventful week for Neil Watson. He says his provocative website warning tourists about rape, murder and robbery in South Africa has been "sabotaged" - and he's taking up an offer by a city politician for a one-way ticket out of the country.

"Someone sabotaged (the website)," Watson said on Friday. He said this had happened last Thursday, and earlier this week someone "planted" a virus.

Watson said his IT team had worked hard to get the site up again, but on Friday the Cape Argus found it closed down about a minute after being opened.

Watson says he will take up the ID's Simon Grindrod on his offer of a one-way air ticket out of the country - if it includes his whole family and their cat.

Cut and run ... the coward ... HAHAHAHAHA ... sadly I pity the fools on this forum who sang his praises ;).

But a victory for the people and let that be a lesson to the next cowardly whinger who wants to sabotage this wonderfull country.

Well that shows his intentions all along, it was never about the greater good of the country, it was about the greater good for himself.

If he really cared about the country he'd stay and try to make a change for what he believes in.
 
Why does he even have to be conviced to get the hell out!? He should be out already if things are as he reported.

Well, if i get offered a free ticket out-of this crime ridden country i would probibly also think about taking it.

I previously thought someone could still make a difference and turn the country around. But it seems like the gvt only have a zimbabwian future for us.

The best is i think that only a small portion gets reported, only some of that makes the news.
If that's true, then the real extent of crime in our country is staggering.

I'd like to see you guy's when crime's in your face and nobody really cares when you get shot and stabbed for R2 and you end up just another statistic that doesn't even lift the bar chart of crime (since they only round it off to the closed million) ... I'll be the first to tell you to goto hell ...

I love all the news this guy is getting about his site being sabotaged and his IT department trying to get the site back up.

Neil it's called a Hack and the virus that was "planted" is called a Trojan.

It happens to everyone and you and your IT department where just to stupid to protect your site.
