~~~ SA getting whipped again! ~~~ RUGBY!
Makes me sick, stopped following what was going on after we lost 49-0.
Don't you just hate it when matches are over before they even started :(
The guys are bleeding. Much better effort!
The only better effort is that they don't throw away posession as much as last week. Defense and attack is virtually non-existant not even to speak of the total lack of support.
Don't even think we'll win Japan at the current level.
True. I however prefer an all out effort (with a loss) than a lack of spirit and a loss. :o
We now know we cannot beat these top level teams with the current squad. Blaming it on the squad is not 100% right. Administration is at fault.
In telkom terms it was a 'best effort service'.
Way too many penalties. "Tactical" kicking poor. And the sad thing is we compare it to last week to see if we improved which is not a good benchmark. But i still support the boks:D
Agreed on the first statement. The 2nd one...well I agree that we need a few players added (i.e. Jean de Villiers, Wannenburg, Watson), but if we can cut down on penalties, we can certainly compete and win. I don't think we were outplayed today, but you can't hand 7 penalties to Carter and expect to win
A team is more than the sum of its parts. This team doesn't seem to know HOW to work together. I personally think less quality players can play better as a team (if they have a good team dynamic) against all star squads with no sense of cohesiveness. We lack that team dynamic.
People are talking about us not winning a single tri-nations match! I think that is a bit extreme- home advantage should make some difference...
Would have been nice if Percy didn't miss all those penalties.. but such is the game of rugby.
Would be nice to have a life-size All Blacks doll at the pub to take out one's frustrations on :D
Well the All-Blacks won with half their regular 1st team rested and the Aussies won 49-0 so it's not looking too good.
Jake White really needs to sort out this mess before the Rugby World Cup.
Again I agree Ant, but look at the players I mentioned and think of what they bring to a team in terms of dynamic play, apart from being quality individuals. A loose trio with the ability to hunt together, whether it's on defence or attack, and an inside centre that can read the game well. These are key facets of the game and if you have the right players in those positions, team work will come naturally. All IMO of course :D
