The International Telecommunication Union co-ordinates the global agreements and encourages nations to make 3G spectrum available in the 806-960 MHz band, the 1710-1885MHz band and the 2500-2690MHz band. In SA, the operators use the 2100MHz spectrum for their 3G services.
