Telecel plans to offer video-on-demand

GTS seem to be making waves but has anyone actually seen this service work?

It all seems a bit phantom like at the moment... Could they maybe give a demonstration of their broadband to MyADSL?

Strange that they say they are already live to certain households but we see no real proof.,.....

Paint me sceptical ;)
 
hehe i'm feeling optimistic today, but i know its gonna pass before lunch.
 
Well the end of the month draws near so time will soon tell if they can be taken seriously or not as their ADSL service is meant go live on 1 August 2006.
I am going to wait and see as they have not given us a full spec of their offering yet.
 
"plan to apply" ?

they may as well not bother telling us. that basically means at least 6 months from now they will apply and a year from then they MAY get a license and a year from THEN they will actually launch something for us to use.
 
Is there noone out there with an operating GTS broadband over powerlines connection? Anyone??

Speak now, we are in desperate need of info!

If there is, they probably all had to signed Non Disclosure agreements. :(
 
I see Telecel in other countries - Kenya, Zambia, Tanzania.... interesting to see that they don't plan to compete in the mobile arena in SA.
