I bet you criminal loving (hey he was hiding under the bed with his knife when the guy shot him, thats so evil) forumites will love this...
 
this whole crime busting operation that was announced a few weeks ago, anyone seen any signs of it yet? Or was this just more bull**** lipservice?

Problem here is simple, with a simple solution: fire the execs and get experienced folks in who know what the hell to do to sort out the policing system, guys like Rudy Giuliani would be well worth whatever he will charge for colsulting with the right people.
 
Well, according to 702, some 1000 (or could have been more) were arrested the past week in the Ekurhuleni Metro area in a crime busting operation.

good. May this action continue and thwart out crime. Let's hope that the conviction rates are excellent.
 
Heard on 702 though most of the 1000 was minor offences and traffic warrants ... just to put it in perspective..

Now the Government needs to build some more huge prisons.

The probably had some leftover food they wanted to share with the offenders...

Are there not more 'important' crimes to focus on than minor and petty crimes??? :rolleyes:
 
Call me cynical but I believe traffic offenses are governments favorite crime to "crack down" on as it brings in money where as the others cost money...
 
Yea, the guy pleaded for his life, I guess thats all you can do when you dont have a gun, beg and plead and be at the mercy of these animals.
Fight crime, shoot back!! Works for me.
 
Don't be alarmed - remember SA dos not have a crime problem - it just has a "moaning rich whites" problem - or so I am told.
 
You only have a one in a hundred chance of being a victim too (very slim odds in certain forum members eyes apparently)
 
my advice is dont stop to make calls

rather get a ticket than stop somewhere to make a call
doesnt matter what time of day it is

i think we must understand we live in a crime ridden country :(, where the cops are more worried if your on you cellphone, than if there is a crime taking place

Until someone high up in Government gets knocked off in a manner like this we probably won't see much happening in the line of crime fighting.

It's the "*I'm* fine.. **** you" train of thought.
