Got a lovely little Linksys 3G gateway/router/wireless hub and it's been working like a charm.
Some time during the last week I logged onto the web-based admin console and noticed that the interface seemed a bit jumbled. Buttons appearing in wrong place, fonts were a bit scrambled etc. Rebooted it, and sudddenly it wasn't assinging an IP address to my laptop. Rebooted it again and this time got an IP address.
Nothing odd has happened to the router physically. It's been sitting quitely on my desk. I figured it might be time to upgrade the firmware.
Downloaded the latest firmware from the Vodacom website (1.99.8).
This seemed to fix it to some extent. DHCP is working consistently and the interface looks sorted.
When I log onto the admin console without the 3G datacard inserted, everything is hunky dory. If I plug in the datacard (U740) everything goes haywire. The web-based interface no longer works (in IE, I get "Page not found" and in FF I get "connection refused").
I've tried the restart button, but nothing... Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
