Where would you start buying a cellphone online? I don't want any contracts or anything and it has to be locally available. I don't want to pay a monthly installment either, I'm thinking of a basic Samsung or Nokia, with camera and MMS capability.

Any ideas? Expansys used to sell locally, but they seem to be $ orientated these days?

Wow - expensive! Had a look and the Blackberry 7290 lists for R4,500.00 - I ordered one yesterday from vodacom for r1,400!

Thanks web :) more please :D :D

Edit: Bwana, is that Vodacom locked and contract aswell?

Nope not locked and I dont buy on contract. Any of the network providers should sell you any phone you want.

Then there's always Makro or PnP - they might want you to buy and activate a starter pack though but it doesnt mean you have to use it.

Expansys never shipped directly to SA anyway. You had to arrange for it to be collected and shipped here. I don't think they're US-oriented though.
