you can say what you want but at the moment adsl beats any of the wireless' broadband providers hands down in reliability and "average speed"

uncle rpm... surely we can bust Telkom for that advert on at least one point? The whole thing smacks of disinformation and will befuddle the unwary user.

It will however be tough to prove this point as Telkom can say that it is local traffic to their servers… It is a questionable campaign to say the least, but interestingly enough not easy to attack.

The statement of comparing apples with apples is utterly false.
It should read as comparing Apples with Bananas and Oranges!

i know not many people like me much on this channel cause i dont only say bad things about telkom... but look here:rpm said:

i ran the test 3 times:
891kbps
913.2kbps
916.2kbps
(average 906.9kbps)
then i ran one of the international speed tests (stanford)
i invite someone with a 3g/hsdpa or iburst connection to do the same tests...
now i find this internatioal one very slow compared to when i download stuff as i normally d/l at about 90-100kb/s no matter where it is from....

I wouldn't necessarily consider that an any more reliable source of information. I can see it now - if you tape your cellphone to the mast you get really good download speeds

Random sampling done properly is near as good as a 100% sample. Doing it properly requires expertise.
