want to sell - ATI X850XT

i bought a NEW 7900gt for R2700

so a 15 month old card would go for round anout R1600-R2100.....but let me tell you something. dont sell it....its not worth it. keep it for a second PC or something. really dude your gonna kick yourself when you sell it for that price. it will have more value to you if you keep it....unless you can sell it to a guy for R3000 or something....but sad to say no one here wil give you that price....and that what i have to say dude....;):D

So the card is about 15 months old. What would you guys say is a good price to sell it at.

do you still have the original packaging?

Yep... I have to say... unless you have use for it, rather get some cash instead. I suggest what Dudikoff suggested.

becuase i'm looking at a screen card atm but won't pay more than R1500 for it .

The problem with computer hardware is that if the product (screencard, motherboard or CPU) is older than 6months, the price drops heavily.. And once over a year old.. U can hardly sell it for 30% what u paid for it..

So a R3000 screencard New , can only be sold for R1000 12months later..

7800GT (256mb/256bit)(agp) sells for just over R2400 :>> So yeah. X850 isn't truly worth more than R1600 atm.. Sorry to say.
(7800GT will own a X850)

Don't listen to him, i'll buy it for R1000.
A year from now, that card wouldn't be worth anything.
Cash in your chips while your ahead!
Check out this brand new card at BidorBuy.

yes dont listen to me just sell this card for R1000 to this guy wich you bought for R5000.... real nice....im telling you now jou gonna kick yourself....this is a good card and not worth R1000.....people will tell you anything to get a good deal out of you....ex. like this guy over here..:p

ill say dont sell it for less then R2100..... and if can find some guy who dont know about cards then push it up to R3000 or close to that....:D

Sometimes it just makes sense to have some cash rather than a piece of hardware you aren't going to use...
But if you have a use for it on the other hand...

Still have all the original packaging, including all cable's driver disk and even the game you got extra with it as well

That card was never R3000... It was R2200, after a year it should be worth about R1400, graphics get out dated quicker than any other part in a computer

I would agree with The Big Firefly. Keep the card for a second machine if you have one or plan to buy/build one. It may be old but it can still run most games in High Detail no problem.

You can pick up a new 7900GT for around R2400 already. You won't get the price you want for your card. If you really want to sell it I suggest you put it on Bid or Buy, set a reserve price so you don't have to let it go for less than you want, then start the bid off at around R800.00 and see what the market is prepared to give you.

This card is fast, but not enough for the new games. The most important is the R4xx GPU do not supports shadermodel 3.0, and this card is really hard to overcolock.
