I say Bafana cos they always sucked.

At least we know we were once good in cricket and rugby, there's still hope of returning to our former glory.

Now the national teams is not unlike South Africa, They do a good representation of our Nation, very fitting indeed, now the rugby is in line with our soccer and in Sri-Lanka the prozeas is following suit! All big ******! Well done SA we are proud of you!

And the cricket and soccer team. No it is because players is selected that have learned to play the game but cannot perform at that level. People should be selected on capability and teamwork, not because of race or quotas! The Boks should not be assured of a place, their contracts should be proportioned to their performance! Best would be to select a team not individuals!

No...it's not. It's the meddling by government that is screwing things up. So is the problem with our other sports. Look at Kevin pieterson. He had no chance to play cricket for SA cos of transformation. Now look how well he's doing in England.

I would like to boast a little - the soccer mad RSA, does everything, but produce decent soccer. RSA failed to qualify for the mens soccer world cup, and as for qualifying for next year is the women fifa world cup? not so sure about that either.

There is a certain country that really doesnt take soccer seriously (it was for 'moffies' when i was at school), and for what is worth, they qualified for the mens world cup, and they have also just qualified for the womens world cup.

So, whilst the Australian soccer is going from strength to strength (as they/we always do), RSA has gone to the dogs.

Bafana bafana seem to be in most disarray as far as I'm concerned.

Surely we must be world champs in Jukskei?

I think "Jukskei" needs a name change. It's too Afrikaans sounding and therefore racist.

Australia's The Herald newspaper was approached this week by sources close to the Springboks management, who said there was strong talk within the camp that the best way to nullify the Wallaby playmaker was to have James, "take Larkham's head off".
Desperate times for the goats. :)

The whole sporting system in sa has gota long way to go. Much improvment needed, more professionalism desperatley needed, 'old' style mind set needs to be changed. And all this kinda thing starts at school.

Soccer - well thats kinda a mess. Bad management whom dont know what professionalism is, and tend to be more interested in themselves. I kinda think thats where the problem is in soccer. Also national pride - certaintly a lack of that, when it is the pinnacle of any sportsman, to play for their country.

Cricket - they sort-of-kind-of their. Probably the 'best' out of SA's big 3. Although still a way to-go. They very good one-dayers (which they learnt from the aussies... lol). Tests is where they suck. And they have for sometime now.

Rugby - well its been said time and time again - they need to stop playing smash and bash type rugby. And this must start at school. They struggling to get past that........

I must just add that i really hate Australian coaches/advisers, that come here, or any country, and help. Australia have a fantastic coaching system with there sporting codes, and they are much sought after when it comes to sporting mattters.
