It would have to be really, really, really cheap. $1 is already excessive for an AAC track you can 'keep'.krycor said:you know with 3G+ phones + network coverage in urban area's improving maybe a cell operator should strike a deal with music content providers to offer streaming content for a fraction of the cost(since you don't get to keep it, ie pay-per-play), though a hardware/firmware solution might be better wrt digital rights etc that way your phone just as a track list you add to and when you play a song you get charged xx cents
