Alan Knott-Craig is a man I have most respect for. Even back in the 70’s and 80’s he was a well revered on the Telecommunications SIG’s and international symposiums. This man WORKED his way up through clear understanding of the technologies facing us.
Alan – get well soon and you have my support.
This man has greatness in him that should be respected. He does not use his huge economic powers to swing deals of political nature or has his hands in the cookie jar.
This man is no politician – he is a man of strength because he is empowered by knowledge hard earned, not empowered by greedy fat cats.

BTW Alan was instrumental in getting GSM introduced into this country when the rest of the world was using analogue portable phones.

Yes Bekdik - those pioneers are very sparse and inbetween. I don't expect anything spectacular in SA for the next 40 years. Sadly

AKC is one of those guys that is a 'techie' by heart but with his grit and determination he has turned into a world class leader.
If only all our other so-called leaders can learn from him.
