Gainward 6800gt vs 7300gt

Ok,its time for an upgrade, I'm still on agp & don't feel a need to build the most powerful pc or whatever right now as I would rather wait till next year so I just need to give my pc a little boost to make it there & so these seem to be the cheaper prices.

So my question is which is better? I have been reading a lot of reviews on both & from what I can see they perform almost equal...

i agree with ATI, no comparison between a 7300gt and a 6800gt, go for the 6800 definately
 
Get a 7600gt , it outperforms the 6800gt. Not sure if they do them in agp?
 
6800 gs is about the same as 6800 gt for much less money. But thats pci-e not sure about agp.
 
Does anyone have this card (Gainward GeForce 6800GT 2400/Ultra Golden Sample)? if so do they still want it? :) & maybe if they can post a few scores like 3dmak03,05 , that would be great :D
 
I think you're a bit confused MrG. I know a 6800 is now a mid range card but I don't think its a wise investment upgrading to say a 7900gt with dual core and the works, if vista & directx10 cards are getting released near end of year, surely those prices will be way outta my budget so I just need something to last me for another half a year,maybe more considering I running a 9700pro at the moment which is about in between a 6600 vanilla and a 6600gt :(


hmm, another option I was thinking about is to SLI the xfx 6800xt, its meant to be a lower 6800 but I read that in SLI it could run Oblivion,Prey all on highest smooth...

7300Gt pwns a 6800GT

Go do your homework before u jusge a 7300GT this card beats a 6600GT by far and a 6600GT aint to far from a 6800GT becuase of shaders ect. Aquamark03 on 7300GT is round 73000 and a 6800Gt is like about 65000-68000 i think so pls get yourself 2x7300GT's is actualy beats a 7600GT on 1600x1200 on Q4 ect at a avarage of 20fps...

7300GT is a good card (the DDR3 version not DDR2 version) it is the exact same core as 7600GT...but NOT better than a 6800GT
