Telkom is killing our business

I think if we all get together and some media sponsorship it can.

Dont expect any help from the national newspapers or media houses. With Telkoms vast advertising budget, they know exactly where their bread is buttered.

A group like the SMME forum 'should' get their member companies to pay a small tariff to fund this campaign.
After all, SMME's are the ones that this type of inaction by the monopoly hurts the most, but Tebogo it seems is quite content with Telkoms service levels.

  • Just about every past or present Telkodemonopolies customer has horror stories of their own - rather give a short url if people want to read about other horror stories.
  • Before embarking on any fundraising, first create a mockup of the proposed advert, and get a quote from several publishers.
  • Make a point of telling readers [of the advert] that Telkodemonopolies is still the only fixed line telecommunications company in SA and that there currently are no fixed line alternatives - no SNOT...
  • Make a point of quoting guavamint's various promises to provide competition to Telkodemonopolies - to the point of showing that guavamint has a vested interest in telecoms & that's why nothing seems to be changing.

You just gotta be so careful how you phrase this though. Otherwise the next Telkom ad will say "Even our harshest critics agree: There are no alternatives!"
