I-mate Jam + sea water = don't know what to do!

My I-mate Jam was in my pocket when a huge wave covered my whole body up to my neck... Now my I-mate doesn't want to go on again. I got most of the sand and water out, but still no luck... Anyone have any other ideas, or know of some place (near ct) that won't charge me a fortune to get it fixed?:mad: :confused:
 
take the back appart dry it with a hair dryer and wait 48hours before switching it on again also maybe get a other battery because the salt waters eats the nicel catium batterys like hungry parana...
 
purple-blue-purble-blue..dead

When I put the battery back in the light goes on - it turns from purple to blue and then back again, but I can't see anything on the screen.

I tried it again later - now it is just dead.

No.......!!!!!!!!
 
How will I know if the battery is not working anymore?And where do I get a screwdriver to unscrew the whole thing?
 
Okay, so now I got the two screws out under the battery... but nothing seems to have come loose- so what now???
 
I think you pretty much signed its death warrant when you reinserted the battery. You could try opening it up an immersing it in distilled water and drying it in front of a fan.
