Where can I get an OLD laptop for R1000?

Hi there people!
Can anybody tell me where I can get and old, possibly second-hand laptop for R1000 or less?
I am mostly going to use it for school projects and the like. I have thought of going to look at Cash Converters and Cash

Crusaders.

You'll probibly be looking at a PII laptop. Battery will be dead. (They normally all are...)
I'f you can find a nice P3, their quite sweet for normal stuff.
 
old laptop

If you are in the Gauteng area, also try Bruma lake...I know...but I saw stalls in the fleamarket selling old laptops for +/- R1000

dont count on aftersale service though;)
