Why is Africa so sceptical to adopt First-World and Western ways of life?

Heck, don't they realise that all these dictatorships, poverty, corruption, poor education and bizarre traditions were actually abolished by First-World countries because it threatened the progress of humanity?

They're too narrow-minded to realize anything else. They've been brain-washed into thinking that colonialism just brought opression etc, ignoring the fact that colonialism brought civilization to Africa - is it that African governments are embarrased to admit that the "bad whiteys" actually helped the natives more than they [the tribal leaders in Africa] could have done in 1652 years?

The problem is there are too many people who want a piece of the pie in this country, too many variables, and not enough leadership, we need a strong leadership, someone who will make us feel good about ourselves as a NATION, who will bring the people together as a NATION, and stop all this infighting bickering and schoolyard politics.

1998 - AWB hearing after bombs were planted at Rustenburg mosque - the AWB member said he was prepared to give up his life vir Volk en Vaderland - when asked why he didn't go along with the men - he replied that he only had one bakkie and didn't want it to get damaged

depends on the invesigating officer and the work load of the police in the area. if you kill someone in a life threatening situation (where the suspect is armed), it is self defence. if you shoot a suspect while he/she is running away, then you may be charged with attempted murder, manslaughter or murder (the latter two if the suspect dies) depending on additional factors (like jumping in your car and chasing him/her down, then shooting him/her drive-by style is murder)
