iBurst addresses account support problems

1) Make a false claim
2) Wait for the informed to test you on it
3) Apologize to them
4) Wait for the uninformed to fall for the claim they heard from a friend
5) Smile all the way to the bank

iBurst was quick to respond to this issue, and Hall informed MyADSL that an error that occurred in the Call Centre was to blame for the problem. “Action has been taken to ensure that this does not happen again,” Hall ensured customers.

An error had occurred. So I take it people going home normal time is now called an error. Proof that they treat their staff like machines/numbers.

“I would like to say again that the MyADSL forums are great and that the feedback and comments posted provide valuable input to making the iBurst customer service experience to all our customers exceptional,” Hall said.

Really, what about the feedback concerning RAISING CAPS/LOWERING PRICES?

“We are committed to be the best. We don’t always get it right, but we certainly try to get it spot on,” Hall continued.

Well for a start, a price reduction will be considered as proof of this statement. Am waiting

iburst account what?

i signed up with iburst the day they started, that weekend we were unceremoniously cut off, not throttled, for being over our cap. the next week i took my equipment back and cancelled the account. about three months later i finally got a refund but my telephone calls cost as much as the refund from being on hold so long. three months later again someone from iburst phoned me and asked what my email address was so they could send an invoice. i exploded. yesterday what must be more than a year later i got a 0 value invoice from iburst in the post?!? i had to phone again for the ten millionth fing time 'please delete my account, remove my details from your system, stop sending me all the bs'. grrrr

1. Looks like there was no internal communication
2. Why should it be raised in the media before they get things sorted out

WTF are you ppl complaining about. It was one employee over there that went home at 5 instead of 7. Now you blame the entire company? WTF?

The fact that iBurst actually look at the media to see what the consumer thinks of them is awesome. Have telscum ever responded to complaints in the media?

SAME HERE, I AM FURIOUS

My iBurst account is such a monumental balls up at the moment I don't know where to start.

I've been a customer for 1 year 9 months.... My 24 month contract expires soon.
My invoice I received last month in the post has my account number, but it's not in my name.
I sent an e-mail about it and never got a response. However this month I got two invoices.

The first invoice has my account number but not my name.
The second invoice has my name but not my account number.

I'm annoyed and I actually don't have the 30mins (which is probably the amount of time it will take) required to phone them up to try and sort it out.

It's easier just to cancel and walk into Vodacom 4U and sign up my hsdpa card.

BLUNTLY PUT .... lies.

I have STILL not been contacted.

I have supported iBurst when they've done good and merely insisted on service when they've gone astray... hardly harsh in my opinion... now just wish they'd get their act together and stop making promises that they are not keeping.

I phoned once again this evening (after 7 so did not expect accounts to be around) to check on the status of my ticket requesting accounts to phone me .... 3 days here we come ....

If anyone from iBurst is willing to contact me please do so as per my numerous messages, MyADSL PM or on this forum....

Service Complaint

I have logged the following complaint on Ed's blog at iburst. Impressively, he replied within 25 minutes, and my mail was sent just before 6pm, so well done to Ed for that, lets just see if my problems will be sorted.
Following is my complaint as logged on the Iburst website

Hi Ed

I received Iburst in the beginning of the year. I’m on a 24month contract for R599 pm.

Delivery took two weeks (Not 48 hours as the Ad says), and then all went well, until end of July.

First my Debit order was never deducted from my bank account. Then after several phone calls and a complaint or two on the website they deducted R1198 instead of R599.

My bank account was in an overdraft because of this and I paid ‘over-limit’ fees. After some more phone calls it was rectified and the banking fees also refunded.

At the end of August, two debit orders went off amounting to more than R3300, which put my bank balance to an extreme low, and when my car and insurance went off, I was in an overdraft AGAIN.

It cost me several more phone calls to have this mistake rectified, and every time I wait for at least 15-20 minutes before being helped on the phone. I get transferred to the wrong departments, and very few people were very helpful.

A week before my ‘end of September’ payment were supposed to be deducted, I phoned again to confirm everything was fine and the correct amount will be deducted. I was assured everything is fine, and once again the debit order never went through. When I phoned again to query this, I was told that my account is in CREDIT, but none of the two ladies would tell me how much credit I had in my account. This debit order finally went through 2 weeks later.

Now my biggest concern is, Iburst is BRAGGING about their EXCELLENT customer service, I have received the poorest service from them that you can expect. I have logged several complaints, and no one ever gets back to me. I am refused to speak to any managers, I have to leave a message and the supervisor will get back to me. They are always in meetings and NEVER phone back. One lady in the accounts department even had the audacity to ask me to pay the money into their (Iburst’s) account for the debit order which never went through. And I don’t see why I have to make it my problem to see that Iburst gets remunerated for their service.

Now I have clearly had enough. I hope I get some assistance from this department because up to know, I have received NONE.
