SAB again warns of email scam

I am just amazed that there is ANYONE who would believe such a thing!

When I get one of these chain letters (and often from what I believed were intelligent and logical people), a quick search on Google usually points out that it is a scam. I then proceed to reply to the original with the link to the scam-site and point out the idiocy... :)

If someone can show me their check for R1 000 000 from Microsoft/Intel/AOL/Whoever, or their case of beer, I will eat my ADSL modem.

Please read this - it really works. My friend's aunt's parrot sent this email to 20 people and received a Boeing 747 in the mail the very next day!!

All you need to do is send this to 20 people, and the Nigerians will be so happy that they will send you a BRAND NEW 747!!

When will people learn??

The primary purpose of chain letters is to collect email addresses.... for the SPAMMERS.... duh!
And if there is a "forward and forward to us too" then it is a dead give away!! :mad:

So I must say thank you to all my 'friends' who have forwarded me this cr@p and got my address onto the spammers mailing list
 
I think a lot of the time it's people doing it out of pure desperation just to get some bucks/stuff for free - Their boat has finally come in, yay!

The old saying still rings true - If it sounds too good too be true, it probably is.
