Blacks are the biggest racists in the new SA survey finds

AFRICANS are South Africa’s worst racists — and fellow Africans are their main victims.

These are the findings of a nationwide survey conducted by Plus 94 Research, a marketing research company. An affiliate of the Gallup group, it interviewed 2000 people about their experiences at shops, hospitals, transport outlets, municipal offices, financial institutions and other places.

The survey found that even though African people were most likely to be victimised by other races, almost half of South Africans had experienced discrimination at the hands of Africans.

Some 44% of respondents claimed to have experienced an attitude from Africans they believed bordered on racial discrimination, against 27% who had received similar treatment by whites when seeking out services in public places

Unisa’s executive director of research, Professor Tinyiko Maluleke, said: “It’s what apartheid did to people. One of the things that racism has done to black people is make them devalue themselves and often this is shown in the way they relate to other black people.

But National House of Traditional Leaders chief executive Abraham Sithole questioned the findings: “Traditionally blacks have never shown any racial hostilities against others ... In fact, how can blacks be regarded as racist when we have welcomed other groups such as coloureds and Indians?

Oh really? Maybe I should ask a few Zulu's and Xhosa's to see how they feel about each other.
 
Could you please define AFRICANS. I believe that african refers to someone who is born in and lives in Africa.

It's not just one group that's racist, it all groups. Now if that is what they mean, then I totally agree. I have seen plenty of racist black and coloured people. The only thing that I have a problem is that white people aren't allowed to be racist but black/coloured people are? How does that work?

It doesn't. Noone should be racist. The point is, people still are, people of all races, which is sometimes overlooked.
 
I know it shouldn't be allowed. But in most cases of black/coloured being racist, it's overlooked a lot more. ;)
 
Hmmm, I'm highly skeptical of this survey.

Everything being equal, if 20% of every race group is racist, then there would still be 9 times as many black racists than white rascists. Makes sense as this is the racial demographic of the country.

Of course you are more likely to experience racism they describe from a black person because there are so many more black people. Duh. You are more likely to experience any number of good or bad experience from the majority race group of the country or your province or town.

Dumbest survey ever!

For a propper survey you would need to know the number or times a person felt racially discriminated against and then the race group of the person responsible each time. You would also need to know the racial demographic of the service people in the industries they mention.

Then there would be ratios and maths and all sorts of hi-tech stuff, not just ... "yep, I've felt discriminated against by africans" !!! Pathetic.

According to GVT members we are not Africans, we are Settlers and do not belong here, Africans, as defined by our "leaders" are black. Therefore the Rhetoric that we must leave or just accept as being subordinate!
 
The biggest black on black racism is happeneing between the immigrants and the local blacks, the immigrants come in with education and skills that our locals dont have, they should get jobs according to those skills , but are fobbed over for some local who has half the education ,and hardly any skill.
Hence the big drive by the workers unions to provent the hiring of foreign labour, the foreign labour is prepared to work, and often for less wages than the locals who want the job, but most of the time arent prepared to do the work.
 
While people are under threat they group themselves into comfortable groups. Where their backs are being watched and they feel safe in those groups. These groups mostly take up the shape of people of same colour, belief, values and tradition.
Inevitable the group locks other out and soon other groups become despondently jealous or disapproving of the other group.

So the thing starts and sometimes it is called racism, which is only one of the catch phrases used by the media.

Remove danger to a society and no racism shall be there. As long as there is danger to a society, their self protection instincts shall always prevail.

Move on to get the politicians to create a peaceful and safe SA. Else stop moaning about racism, as it is a natural reflex.
 
I beleive that there is good and bad in every race/colour/religion equally, I also beleive in the law of numbers, because there are many more of them than us, any bad attribute will seem exponentially more.

I think its also about time we stop blaming the past for our bad attributes, apartheid ended more than 10 years ago, its about time we started moving on and stopped feeling sorry for ourselves.
 
Racism

Racism is just one pretty word for hatred... everyone seems to forget that - race or not, hatred is the same.
