Telkom continues to top online complaints list

you have to compare apples to apples in this. you must remember telkom have millions of customers whereas a place like the spur in the middle of put-sonder-water may only have 5 customers and then 3 complain?

Makes Sense

It is to be expected that both Telkom and Sentech won't reply to queries. Both are state controlled and they believe if you ignore it long enough, it will go away by both these companies and government.

More like rotten apples....

The main difference is that you have a choice and can eat elsewhere if you don't like the Spur in put-sonder-water and (2) the Spur is not a state sponsored monopoly that charges 800% more for food than international restaurants and tries it's utmost to bankrupt the restaurant industry…..remember my friend, Telkom holds ALL the apples here!

I hate having to beg any company to assist me with any complaints or orders. I struggle daily with those people. I phoned in today and the person I spoke with gave completely different information to what the person told me on the 14th. So I asked why the feedback is different and he said the person you spoke to must have been lying to you and we can't see who it was because there are no comments on the system of you phoning on the 14th. I couldn't believe what I was hearing!!!!!

Hi Albert123

It's always good to hear from Telkom. And here is Albert123 again, taking Telkom's side...

Yes, and Spur in Putsonderwater has 17 employees whereas Telkom has thousands - kinda comparing apples to fly-fishing in that example ain't it Albert?

albert123's got a good point though... I mean Telkom has less complaints than Vodacom or MTN on Hellopeter... although that's probably because they know they're not going to get a response from Telkom whereas MTN and Vodacom do.

telkom has reached a size where, it doesn't care.
but if telkom spent the money on a decent customer care department, they could in theory, change the company around, also, telkom as a company should become more caring... but what i want to mention is the following:

i just applied for adsl the other day, i must've phoned 10219 8x (no, really); each time i spoke to someone different and each time i got a different price for this, and price for that and i was told i need this, then i was told i needed that.
Eventually, i got through to a lady who basically took me as if i never phoned and explained everything clearly and what not.

granted its a national call centre but god, its like, in the one area, they'll train this person, then not train the next... i know telkom SAY that record those calls, but god, if i was a boss and heard a few of those calls, i'd sell the company i was so embarrased.

in short, there are ppl who care at telkom, but in the positions that matter at telkom, there are not ppl who care, they are there for the salary and thats it.

I wish i could understand for me why there is even a bloody 'cap' because in the rest of the world, there isn't but here there is... why? why would they need one?!?! but thats for another topic.
