Nope that list will be shortened down to I think 8 names and of those 5 will be chosen.

I see - hmm - Wed 23rd sounds a bit like a deadline to me.

I wait with baited breath.

any MyAdsl ee candidates on the list? they should have a decent chance...

Aside from EE;

Do the MYADSL candidates realise what these positions will do to their impartiality?; working for ICASA will imply a loss of impartiality (you don't slate the company who pays your salary, neither will you be contractually allowed to)

Also working in a government organisation one will quickly realise as with any corporate that "red tape" (in government I'm sure even a large amount of political "red tape") follows every issue.
Better candidates don’t imply better results; governance and management policies play a much bigger role than the quality of candidates. i.e. level of autonomy of candidates(is ICASA an "old world" or "new world" organisation?)

I'd recommend to the candidates that before accepting this position (of course if offered considering EE) that they examine the contracts carefully and specifically question the level of autonomy afforded to these positions.
