Darrell Hair offered to resign as an umpire in exchange for a payment of $500,000, the International Cricket Council has revealed.

The Australian made his offer in a letter to the ICC after the controversial end to the fourth Test between England and Pakistan.

He was always a crap umpire, only the aussies thought otherwise.

Remember our first test after readmission in which he stood? I think he said a world record for umpiring blunders then. Peter Kirsten was given out LBW after edging short of 2nd slip. He was shocking then and somehow still remains a "respected" umpire, depsite never really improving...
