Tunneling. Bypassing blocked ports on a proxy

Does any1 know an easy way to get past a proxy that has blocked certain ports that i need to access..

Any suggestions welcome
 
try using a proxying program such as HTTPort which will allow you to create a socks server, this can also be done with HTTP-Tunnel client, you can then get a program called sockscap which "socksifies" all the requests which come from the various programs. Essenitally this will allow you to use all programs from behind a firewall which has blocked ports which you do not have access to. You will now be able to use torrent clients etc which normally require various ports to be open. There are many tutorials which can give you much more detail on how to set this up specifically for your needs.
