What a waste of a perfectly good HSDPA Mobile connect card.
But seriously - is that R249.00 per month for 36 months the only cost involved? or are there costs associated with HSDPA ONE? I'm trying to see on vodacom's site but its crapping out atm.

that laptop is not bad. but the 36 months is like paying of a car loan. after 3 yrs that internal hsdpa card will be like a floppy drive . . . useless
Hi Vodadeal.
This Special offer to forum members only , cash price of R12399,00 sounds quite good.
What are the terms and conditions ?
If one goes for the HSDPA500 subs X36 months what extra costs are involved besides the R249.00 once off and monthly R350.00 ?
Does this laptop have a built in microphone ?
You do not mention what type of optical drive it has ? CD ? DVD ? writer ?
I hope the hsdpa card is not network locked ?
where does one get one ?
Rory.

Its a strictly CASH DEAL , No CREDIT CARDS . Once off Sim and Connection Fee , I am awaiting more information from Vodacom regarding the optical drive and microphone .
Hi Vodadeal.
The other option of monthly subs on HSDPA contract also sounds good.
If one goes for the HSDPA500 subs X36 months what extra costs are involved besides the R249.00 once off and monthly R350.00 ?
If this is the case how do I go about ordering it. (that is if it has a optical drive included. I see according to Dell website it appears to have built in microphone.)
Thanks again
Rory.

I don't see this advertised on any vodacom sites , how does one go about ordering? I am really interested in this notebook.
This seems to be the same as the e1505 , except for the Core Duo processor.....

No offence, but I've compiled a list of outstanding questions plus a few of my own:
1. Does the laptop have a built-in microphone?
2. Specs and brand of optical drive?
3. HSDPA card networked locked or not?
4. Price specific to what dealership? - (are you selling via PM?)
5. No credit cards  ?? This is very odd. Are you a sole trader?
6. What is the sim and connection fee?
7. Is VAT included?
I remember Telkom did a similar PC+internet deal not too long ago & they were not specific enough about what the hardware was exactly.

The Dell Notebook deal is as follows
DELL EMBEDDED LAPTOP @ R249.00 CASH PER MONTH FOR 36 MONTHS ON HSDPA ONE
0r
DELL EMBEDDED LAPTOP @ R249.00 CASH PER MONTH FOR 36 MONTHS ON HSDPA 500
basically it is R249,00 plus the cost of HSDPA ONE or HSDPA 500 X 36 months , and not R249,00 once off cash payment and the HSDPA ONE / 500 subs only X 36 months as previously stated.
Regarding the specifications i will hopefully have them tomorrow . I have just returned from MNP training , doing some catching up right now .
The cash deal is VAT inclusive , the margins are very small therefore i will only accept cash payments , no Credit Cards

The D620 and D820 is available directly from Dell (without the 'phone), with the much better D820 starting at around R 9600.
