i got upgraded yesterday evening to 1mbit, and to 4mbit this evening.

me too!!! :) :) Yes I upgraded! If TI can just increase the cap to 100Gb it will be heaven :)

Applied yesterday to upgrade to 1024 this morning I am on 4mb :) 1st time TELKOM has done something fast, they told me 30 days :)
 
When Telkom offers 4mb for the price of 384k (including bandwidth) then I'll upgrade. So I guess I'll be stuck on 384k until I'm old and grey.
 
I love how Telkom can give everyone nice new 4Mb and upgraded others to 1Mb accounts, and they can't come and install my 384k line!!!! :(
 
Requested an upgrade on Tuesday - hasn't happened yet though :(

Cape Town upgrade is chop-chop, one day usually. mine was 7 hours at 10pm at night lol.

Jo'burg takes around 7 working days, i believe.
 
It took 2 days here in Jozi, after they told me the exchange couldn't do it! They also told me 30 days though. The girl I spoke to said 30 days but they normally do it in 1.
 
No real need for the extra bandwidth/cost at the moment. 384kbps works fine for my needs at home.

Work though, is another story..
