Hello

Telkom are talking about a 4Mb "trial". I am one of the lucky ones who is now using the 4Mb service. And so far it works great for me. I am not too knowledgeable about the technical workings of ADSL.

So, the question I have is what are the success criteria for Telkom, what technically constitutes a successful trial?

Thanks
Doc

If enough people upgrade from 384 and 512 to 1024 (and hence get the 4Mb trial status) and then dont downgrade back to 512 after the trial has expired, it must have been a successful (marketing) trial.

Excellent question Doc. Thing is whether the success criteria for TELKOM is indeed technical, or commercial...;)

Edit: beat me to it werner

perhaps to test the lines to see if they can handle 4mbit well..?

could very well be a marketing trial :D

All I can say is... "My speed is amazing" never expected 4mbit, or even a 4mbit trial in SA so soon.

All we need now is cheaper pricing on bandwidth.
