SABC to spend R1,3bn on technology

To get HDTV ready so South Africa can host the World cup,if it not ready by then, we will lose the World Cup and Fifa will give it to Australia.Just a High Def signal but no improvement on the contest that it shows.
 
Don't know why SABC's even bothering with HDTV, realistically most of their subscribers won't have high def tv's anytime soon. DSTV should rather get HDTV, and soon!
 
HDTV is one good step ahead,The switch to HDTV is world wide,so SA must be prepared, because we must broadcast the World Cup in High Definition.
