A kinda new Wireless Internet Service provider has been setup in Zululand. That’s the Upper North Coast if ya did n't know!

They are extremely good with service and customer care! They post regular news on their site (almost daily, so one is up to date with whats cracking!)

A friend of mine who lives on a farm (he sells grass believe it or not) can't get DSL and Telkom just messed him about for like 6 months! He phoned ZWN and they came to his house really quick and helped him out!

Anywho for all the people who can't get DSL in the Zululand area really should look at this option as they are quite a good business so far!

**they have been open for about 6 months so far BTW**

This is cool - i'm glad to see that there are WISP's that are servicing the farming areas. Got a couple of friends who live both in the city and on farms and now there is finally a solution to their broadband cravings :D

what kind of grass would that be? some varieties can apparently distort the signal..

Seriously, I know the farm discussed here.
They grow grass for the sides of roads / sportsfield etc etc.
It is harvested as turf in rolls.

ZWN, what is the status of your Mtunzini Link. The town that has the KZN SAT3 Cable coming out of the beach, (The other place is MelkbosStrand CT) but has no ADSL, HSDPA etc etc.

I know people who are very frustrated having a FAT fibre coming on shore, but having to use dialup. Some lucky souls have ISDN

The link is up but not usable yet. We are negotiating the use of certain high sites in Zini. Please visit our site www.zwn.co.za to get the latest news on this progress.

They are now up and running!

We have just connected the Grass for Africa people.... took a while to get there but we are there!:)
