Can anyone confirm distribution in SA?
 
Panasonic is the dist fro Nintendo in SA... I mailed them recently, apparently Wii will be launched here between November and Feb.

I might bring my own in.

Well Nintendo SA are pretty good with these things if you have a look at the past we are about 2 months behind england for when stuff is released...trust me its in their best intrest to bring Wii to SA -> Affordable + Family = Wii
 
Ninty ZA are pretty good at responding, The DS lite came in 6 weeks after the European launch, and apparently the Gamecube came in in 2 weeks.

They're apparently going all out with the launch in terms of roadshows telly etc, and if that's the case, it'd be silly not to bring it on before Xmas.
 
Nintendo will win the war hands down, even with the die hard sony fans IMO. Sony has been bringing out their expensive CARP for far too long now... I think we all feel ripped off in this country. Hope Panasonic don't take a leaf from their book, otherwise it will be chipping and copying/d-loading all over again.

That date is a bit vague. Imagine the flop if it arrives after December...
Lol - I can just see all the PS3's going for a song in Jan, so everyone can get the Wii instead. :D
